Smita and Michael’s wedding was an Indian/American fusion wedding. Smitha chose the Hotel Del Coronado because she dreamed of a beach view for her ceremony. Wedding planner and coordinator Nahid planned the Barrat followed by the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. What was exciting for guests was the groom arrived on a horse!
The bride chose white and orange colors for her flowers for a tropical feel. Since we wanted to reuse flowers we incorporated the color throughout the reception.
Wedding guests enjoyed the cuisine which was full-on Indian. The bride and groom had their own table with 2 long family tables flanking the dance floor.
At the wedding, they had bhangra dancers with the mobile music for the barrat to hype up the crowd since the groom’s side do not know how to dance on Indian music.
It was truly a joyous wedding day filled with culture, laughter and love.
