Hazel and Mike’s Marriott Del Mar Wedding

This Filipino-American wedding was one to remember! Hazel is a real state agent and Mike is a pilot in the Air Force. While holiday shopping, Mike took Hazel to Daniel’s Jewelry to pick out a Christmas gift. Little did she know, it was all part of Mike’s proposal plan. As Hazel looked around and pointed out a couple of rings she liked, she turned around and Mike was down on one knee- marking the beginning of their married life together.

The couple had a Catholic-Traditional ceremony with a full mass at Hazel’s church and she wore a stunning Maggie Sotero wedding gown. There were multiple sponsors, including some for the lasso, veil, and coin. Once the newlywed’s exited the church we had military sword men lined for the couple, a military wedding tradition. Guests departed from the church going and made their way to the Marriott where they enjoyed a cocktail reception and beautiful music by a My Harp harpist.

Rather than escort cards we designed multiple boards with each guest’s name listed in alphabetical order. Artquest Floral did an incredible job with the floral design and we designed a gorgeous head table for the wedding party carrying out the purple and white wedding colors carried throughout the reception. As Filipino tradition goes, the reception included a large buffet of various types of foods. Sobelle Favors provided the couple’s special wedding favors and the incredible cake was made by a Filipino bakery, both keeping the purple wedding them going. During the reception there were amazing dancers who performed several dances for the guests, taking the wedding reception well into midnight!
